We recently hosted a celebration of life at the Tavern and Porter Room, and I cannot recommend this venue enough. With little notice and during a holiday week, Bob and his team went above and beyond to accommodate us. Being from New Jersey and unfamiliar with the Montgomery area, we were unsure where to turn, but their professionalism and willingness to help alleviated so much of our stress during a difficult time. Genesis was very nice and made sure everything was handled. Bridget the bartender was great.
Really cool place to host an event.
The basement has two rooms that you can rent out, one of the rooms has a large 10 foot pool table with three dart boards and a poker table with poker chips available. Each room also has a bar with a few beer taps. Caution the elevator does not go down to the basement so it is not wheelchair accessible.
