I have been to Tatte's Clarendon location twice. The food dishes that I've tried have barely been edible and the beverages are super pricey. The menu is also fairly limited, so you're stuck choosing between only a handful of options. Tatte seems to a popular hangout, as both times I've gone it's been teeming with people. Candidly, its appeal is a mystery to me. If you enjoy lackluster food and overpriced drinks, this might be the spot for you. All I know for certain is that it's not for me.
I come to Tatte Clarendon a few times a week, and it’s consistently such a great experience. The café is always clean, the staff are friendly, attentive, and quick to offer helpful suggestions. The food is fresh and consistently delicious, and as a matcha lover, I can confidently say theirs is always made perfectly. Musu, the manager, truly leads by example — she’s always visible on the floor, greeting guests by name and creating a warm, welcoming environment. Maybe I’ve just been luckier than other people here but food has been top notch and lattes are good. Pleasant service, great WiFi and generally a good coffee shop to work out of if you don’t mind noise/bring good headphones. A little expensive for what you get.
A nice place to chill or do work. They have great gluten free options and pastries so that’s why I personally enjoy it
