terribly disappointed – I ordered a 12" Pepper Philly & was expecting to have an authentic Philly Cheesesteak. After opening the sandwich when I got home, I was sad to see the wrapper drenched in grease, all bread & little to no meat in the sandwich itself. Not to mention, the meat didn't look anything close to anything I would consider steak of any kind. The Meat looked more like ground beef & absolutely no peppers. Giving the sandwich the benefit of the doubt I took a bite & was sadly disappointed in how little flavor the ... read more
Gets worse every time... – The meatball sandwich was nuked to the point of being inedible, bread and all. Who microwaves bread? They really seem not to care what they serve, even if they wouldn't touch it themselves. I stopped ordering the Philly Cheese Steak because they were never the same twice and it was always a gamble...more often than not the meat would be grainy and tasteless any way. Consistency is an issue with the other sandwiches too. You never know if it will be bone dry, or swimming in mayo, fresh or a week old... read more
All Bread No Meat – My wife and I have been going to The Taste Of Philly for about a year now. They used to make a good Philly CheeseSteak and really piled on the meat. We ate there today and there was barely any meat in the sandwiches. When we brought it to the attention of the employees they seemed not to care the least. We will have to continue the hunt for another good Philly CheeseSteak reastaurant. If you enjoy a Philly CheeseSteak that is all bread and very little meat, you will really enjoy this place. We Will Not Be... read more
VERY GOOD!! – This place has the best cheese steaks in Colorado. The sandwiches are not greasy, and the meat is very fresh along with the peppers and ect. The service is sometimes slow, but it is worth the wait. This is a must try restaurant.
By far the worst food ever/south university location – This is by far the worst sandwich of any type EVER.Greasy, the meat tasted very old.The other garnish(onions and peppers tasted moldy. The service also was horrible. It reminded me of a crappy frat house, foul and immature.I would expect that behavior out of 3 year olds, not adults.Stay as far away from this place as possible.
Double charged and treated rudely – On Thursday I was overcharged on my credit card, which I was told was voided. Two days later I noticed the charge still went through my bank, I was charged twice for my order. Being a business owner with a credit card machine I know if a charges was voided before batching out it never goes through the bank. Not only did the owner make excuses but there was never even an apology! He was very rude and condecending and told me I would hear from him on Monday and it would be corrected. (This w... read more
Best Cheesesteaks in Denver – After visiting Philadelphia a while back, I began my search for a good cheesestaek in Denver. I found it here. Juicy, meaty and served fresh and hot. I recommend getting it to go. The atmosphere does not do justice to the sandwhich. Great Cheesesteak, good prices and fast service.
Best Philly in Town – The cheesesteaks here are the best. They are the closest to a true Philly cheesesteak that you will find in Denver. I wouldn't recommend dining in. The ambience is stark and the tables crowd the space. I recommend ordering for pick-up or having them delivered if you are in the area.
Gone downhill – If cheesesteaks in Philly were this bad, nobody would eat them. This place has gone downhill fast over the past few months. They have been 'remodeling for over a year, but have done nothing but tear out the ceiling. And it is dirty. The last time I was there the fountain drinks were watered down, they forgot the onions on the cheesesteak, the cheese was not even melted in the sandwich, and they just dumped a mass of sause over the top of the steak. I have been here dozens of time, but will not go back. It's t... read more
