Worthless Service – The place does not have enough seating capacity. When we ordered naan he got those from HEB!! and said these are freshly prepared, poor service and no etiquettes on how to retain customer. The overall experience was abysmal.
A taste of something different... – I am familiar with food from the Kerala region, and was excited to hear that there's a restaurant specializing in this food! It is very different from the typical North Indian food. Most of the dishes are coconut based and there seems to be a number of Christians in that region who eat beef and fish, as there are some dishes like Kerala Beef and Fish Curry that are amazingly good! Taste of Malabar great tasting food comes with the courteous service. Every now and then we like having some curry and the special Indian dishes - Taste of Malabar is becoming our first choice. This place is great and very clean. We have tried other places in town but not as good. We love the malabar fish fry (we like it as appetizer though).Biryani here is the best. Best Indian Cuisine in town. Great food and selection of wine and Indian Beer. Highly Recommended. – While not an expert, this nice and clean place offers great tasting Indian dishes that I ever had. My kids had the chicken 65 and Naan; I had CTM and Lamb Biryani and we had samoosa and masala Dosa; oh, we enjoyed the Indian Beer and my wife had some merlot red wine also. Great service also. Excellent choice!
We learned about this nice Indian plan from our friends who had gone there for dinner and lunch. We are hooked!. This placed opened only couple months back on De Zavala Rd (next the dance school&Rome's pizza place). Very clean!. We enjoyed all our dishes, especially the Chicken Curry, Aviyal(veg) and the fish masala which is a typical of the southern region in India. The restaurant is open daily.
