A taste of Denmark was started on August 8, 2010 around a small table in a vacated bakery in Oakland. The owners of the building (and three former employees of the old bakery) sat down and formed a plan for a new co-op bakery. Thus, A Taste of Denmark Bakery was born. The ideas and experience we brought to the new business come from more than 80 years of experience in the bakery business. I drove from Sparks, Nevada to buy a Dream Cake for my daughter's 39th Birthday. I was so happy it was WONDERFUl. Just for reference this is where I got her 1st birthday cake and where my mother got mine. Tradition!
