Jun 4, 2026: our family did the Tarpon Bay Explorers Kayak Tour through the mangroves. This was a great experience for all of us there (including a couple people with no experience kayaking). Fairly priced, easy check-in, plus very friendly and helpful ramp staff who help you launch and assist when you return. We booked a guided kayak tour through the mangroves with Tarpon Bay Explorers. We loved it! Our guide, Drake, was super enthusiatic and friendly and had so much great information to share! We paddled for about 90 minutes with several short breaks to learn pertinent info on the environment, animals, storm recovery etc. We were lucky enough to spot a couple of manatees and lots of other interesting wildlife! The tour group itself was accommodating and friendly and so helpful! We would definitely recommend.

This was an awesome adventure. Tour guide (Austyn) was unbelievably knowledgeable about ecosystems, area history, all wildlife and plant life. Great pace, easy to listen, follow, ask questions. Would highly recommend!
