Just a heads-up for anyone thinking about getting an eye exam at Target Optical—if you need your eyes dilated (which is pretty standard), they don’t do it here. Instead, they’ll refer you to another provider, which means you could end up paying twice—once here and again at the other place, even if you have insurance. Also, the doctor isn’t in-person—they talk to you through an iPad. It felt impersonal and not ideal for something as important as your vision. Excellent service offered to me by Springfield staff.
I very much enjoyed my experience at Target Optical. Rick was the person who helped me in the office, and he was very competent, helpful, patient & kind. The doc I saw virtually was also excellent, Dr. Lee. It was easy to schedule this appointment virtually, which is something I really appreciate. They had a nice selection of frames in the store. I highly recommend Target Optical.
