Excellent option for a couple hours of relaxing adventure. Beautiful location and very reasonable for all skill levels.
It's about 40-45 minutes from Raleigh and a beautiful river to tube on. The website is very easy to book with and the waivers were easy to sign. The actual tubing was so peaceful! The Tar River is beautiful with lots of wildlife and almost no noise. We also recently kayaked Robertson Millpond in Wendell with this company. The booking and check in process are seamless. Know that this kayak experience is not simple. I would say it could be considered intermediate because of all the tight turns and submerged branches.
Everything went off 100% as planned. Very friendly, helpful staff. We will use Tar River Life many more times.
Excellent experience with this company. The staff was super friendly, the booking process was easy, and the float down the river was very peaceful. The water was very stagnant, so you will need a lot of body strength to be able to paddle, but it’s definitely worth it to be out in nature!
