Taquería El Rápido is our go-to Mexican food in Tucson. They continue to consistently check all the boxes on our short list: pleasant people, clean well-lit surroundings, reasonable prices offering good value for our hard-earned money, and ample parking. The large salsa bar is a welcome touch. But over the past few months it seems like several salsa recipes changed, and all the salsas have seemed to ramp up in heat a lot. A lot!
