We did the Dragon Tail and did not have anything booked for the night. Passed by the lodge and we were immediately drawn to it. Stayed there for one night and it was a lovely experience. A cool summer night by the river, with live music and good food. At night it was so quiet and lovely. Depending on the room you get, the view will not disappoint. Will definitely come back ❤️
I drove the Cherohala skyway and stayed here at the lodge. I was unsure what to expect, even with looking at all the photos and reviews. It is really excellent here! Would come again just to stay, relax, eat dinner/brekky and walk around, enjoy the creek. The breakfast food and dinner food is excellent! It is something special here! Libby and Tori were great hosts! I know most people come for the stop to rest and see the nice motorcycles or cars, experience the creekside dining and lodging. There is no better place to stop and recharge after some spirited driving with your buds than the Tapoco Lodge. Great pizza and brews by the babbling brook near the outdoor seating. (Etiquette would dictate that the shelter is for motorcycles. We took the opportunity for a photo op only)
