After the infamous ice storm of March 2025 here in Orillia, I was desperate to get someone in to help my poor broken trees. Every arborist was busy, including Stewart of Taplin's Arbor Care. Even so, he fit me in and was able to trim my trees and take down the ones too damaged to keep going. Contacted (Stuart) at Taplin’s Tree Service, about a tree that split vertically in our back yard. Half of the tree was already on the ground, the other half still “standing” (to be cut down). He came to our home to provide an estimate. We agreed on a price, and he requested AND RECEIVED, a $700 deposit to start work. He came to our home (2 days later than agreed upon), spent maybe 2 hours cleaning up and chipping some of the brush, and cut the already fallen tree portion into pieces.
