Party Espana style – I went with a group of friends on a Friday, and after spending about three hours at the place, I think it was one of the best experiences I've had. It started with a dinner flamenco show, with great paella's and a mix of tapas. The food was excellent and the show was very good. New experience – I went to this place for the first time a little over a year ago, I didn't find it "dirty" or "gross" as some people said in their reviews. I found the small plate experience new and unique. Ordered just an appetizer for myself while my 3 companions ordered what I suppose would be called entrees. Sub-par food, forgettable experience!!! – I was so excited to check out a new tapas place and I left greatly disappointed. Did not taste like authentic Spanish tapas to me!!! The place looks rundown and dirty and the food wasn't much better. DON'T get the crab croquettes- yuck. Poor ambience, food and experience!
good spanish food If you would like to have a taste of spanish cuisine, Tapas is a very good choice. The place has great ambience, and the food is really good - try the snapper madrid, chicken mallorca and the chicken Mallorca. Oh and there are live flamenco shows every friday and saturday evening! There are also salsa lessons on friday, followed by salsa music. I'd recommend making a reservation.
Authentic Tapas – I can understand some of the not so favorable reviews in here because it's Southern California. People would rather dine at a "Disneyland" restaurant rather then eating at a place with character and authentic food. Yes, the place could use a bit of cleaning, but the food is spot on.
I got sick – Don't go here! The food is awful and the owner is a jerk.
Nothing to do with Spain and Tapas! – After reading favorable comments on Citisearch, we decided to dine at TapasBar&Grill last night. We're EXTREMELY disappointed! you won't see me there any time soon – service was slow, forgot half our order, and practically had to wave a flag to get their attention. paella was good but other "authentic spanish" dishes tasted more like mexican food. chairs are stiff as boards. live flamenco show was great and so was the live music.
