Went in for a small custom item I needed to get a job done. Kathy was super helpful, got me the material and put the door in no time flat. Thank you Kathy!
Kathy and crew were amazing and helpful at 4:30pm on a Friday afternoon while I was scrambling for materials to finish a project on a strict deadline. Very grateful.
5 big stars for Cathy, who guided me through all of Tap's 10 Bay Area stores in pursuit of nearly 300 lbs. of a specialized polymer product. While her San Rafael store had a good chunk of what we needed, without her knowledge of the entire Tap inventory structure I would have been out of luck. Terrific customer service, something I've frequently had at Tap but never take for granted!
The person I spoke with did not seem able to restrain themselves from answering the question they think I should have asked instead of the one I actually asked. An unfortunately common code of engagement in 2025 predicated on an unfulfilled need for validation and approval, and manifested as frantically trying to control the conversation by adopting an artificially “superior” posture.
