Best veal parm on earth!
I have been there before and I find the food to be very goo but my recent story will never have me visiting this place again. I made a reservation for my son, his wife, my wife ,and my mother for Mother's Day. I spoke to I guess would be Sal two to three weeks prior to the event and I was told that I had the reservation. I showed up that day and was not on the books. Mistakes happen and I was trying to work with the waiter I was talking to. Then Sal, the owner, came out, screaming at me, calling me a liar and got upset when ... read more
Dissapointment To start they severed us old bread when ask for fresh bread was told that it was fresh but that they would heat some up. Why do you have to heat up fresh bread? My wife order the filet mignon and ask for it to be cooked well done, made a point of asking for it not to have any pink in it. And to make it very very well done. Simply the best Italian food around by far!
Excellent, authentic Italian cuisine. Everything is made fresh, from quality produce and meats, to delicious, well prepared seafoods. Nice semi-causual atmosphere. Not to stuffy, but not the kind of restruant you should go to in shorts and a tank. Family owned and operated, great tentative service. We have been there half a dozen times or so and will always gladly make the 1 1/2 drive for us knowing we are in for a treat. And this is coming from foodies who are a bit snobby when it comes to good eats....lol.
This restaurant has recently been taken over by new management and is very good! Their stuffed artichoke (when they are in season) is delicious! The service is very good too. Definitely worth a try! Be sure to make reservations as they are very busy on Friday and Saturday nights.
If you're Italian, this is home base.
2 words ---- "THE BEST". I grew up in Kenilworth and now live in CA. I also go into NY lots and this is the very best Italian Restaurant around.....I miss it - can't get good Italian out here.
I was invited to dinner by my husband which we do not do very often. We decided to go local and try the new place. What a horrible experience!!! Not only was the service terrible, it seemed only our waiter was too busy, they had broken glass next to our table which it shattered all around our feet and into our meals which we had just received, not a bite was taken. It took them at least 15 minutes to clean around our feet and proceeded to not clean our table off!!! They did give us new meals, which thank god because we both ... read more
