I wish I could give zero stars. As a medical professional who works in emergency medicine it was terrifying to watch how my wife was treated. Aside from my wife’s very serious infection being diagnosed as “Anxiety” by the VERY rude and hateful Dr. Samson O. Adewale. My father in law lost part of his foot due to 3 Doctors misdiagnosing him. My wife developed double pneumonia with Covid and the ER physician who saw her even told her not to come to Higgins and to leave and head straight to Piedmont. Absolutely awful care provided by Dr. Samson O Adewale. He only came in (with an attitude) to even talk to me when we kept asking questions, then despite the first doctor in shift doing blood work and marking me as SIRS criteria and providing antibiotics, he came in without doing his own assessment and told me it was anxiety. JUST for my primary to tell me I had a severe infection and I needed to be put back on antibiotics immediately. ZERO! Had to click on at least 1 star to be able to write the review! We had a terrible experience with my dad being admitted through the emergency room. I was given no information on what was going on with him. It appeared that the staff in the ER was sufficient but still it took forever. The ER nursing staff was very helpful and timely with my dads needs. It took the hospital staff all night to get him in a room. My son sets in ICU and understand the covid rule scared of spreading but we are not allowed to see our son. They have been advised of how my son is and they have him on a vent and we like they find every excuse why they can't or won't take him off the ventilator when he's been awake alert and responding and all was good then get told he spikes a fever but the longer your on the ventilator the more likely the chances are someone can pneumonia. The wait times are absolutely ridiculous and this has been an issue well before covid started. I'm a patient person and I recognize that urgent care is non-appointment, but the waiting room can have three people and you'll still wait at least an hour just to be called back. I've waited for over 45 minutes just to speak to the front desk before I finally just left. This hospital should be avoided at all cost. My friend’s daughter who is a couple of months pregnant came into the hospital barely conscious and they had her to wait in the waiting room who does that... the staff at Tanner Medical in Carrollton. I feel is if she wasn’t of color that she would have been treated differently. The lack of concern and sense of urgency was not present at all for my friend’s sick daughter. Stayed at Willowbrooke for about seven days. And the whole staff was amazing I would recommend to anyone that needs help with depression or any other mental issues. Thanks to all the staff for all of your help.
