Dr. Leavitt is a fantastic doctor. He is a great listener and does what is best for the patient.

"Practice Closed"... I called Tanner Clinic in July 2019 to schedule with Critt Aardema. They told me the soonest he would see new patients was September 9th. I was a little hesitant to schedule so I thought about it for a couple weeks. On the one hand- this guy must be pretty good if he's so booked up... I went to Dr. Leavitt when I was pregnant with my first born. He was always kind and asked me if I had any questions. The problem with this is I didn’t know what to expect, or ask, since it was all new. I had preeclampsia which resulted in the loss of my baby at 37 weeks. I feel Dr. Leavitt helped me, but I always will think that there could have been more attention placed on my swollen legs and pains that I was feeling so things may be different today. I waited total for 2 hours! He did not show interest in me or ask follow up questions for what I was telling him. I was not able to access the patient portal. I did not feel he put forth much effort to solve my problem besides taking blood and telling me I would receive a postcard in the mail if everything was in the correct range or a call if it wasn't.
My husband and I have been under the care of Dr. Aardema for the last 3 years since we moved to Utah. We feel very blessed to have found such a knowledgable, skilled, personable and compassionate family physician. We feel he saved my husband's life by encouraging him to do a ColoGuard test which eventually led to colon surgery for cancer. He is now cancer free.
I'm so grateful for Dr. Leavitt. About a year ago I needed to have a partial hysterectomy and I was scared. He really listened to my questions and concerns and took the time to carefully explain to me all I wanted to know. He was really kind and caring. My surgery and recovery went great and I feel amazing!!! Dr. Leavitt is a great doctor and I would totally recommend him!
