Dr. Tangorra ≠ good patient care. If my life depended on Tangorra I believe I'd be dead. ☠️ Dr. Tangorra had been my GI specialist and was competent only if I didn't need immediate care. Once I had an urgent issue he and his office failed me by not returning calls and emails for 2+ days. They saw me in their office and knew I was in pain and very bad shape for a month. Dr. Tangorra performed my colonoscopy successfully and is a very nice guy. He lets me speak to my issues at length and carefully considers what I say while deciding a path forward. He is willing to perform/refer tests as needed necessary to get to the bottom of an issue. Would recommend.
Dr Tangorra is one of the nicest, knowledgeable doctors I have ever met BUT I can NEVER get anyone to call me back from his office. It’s honestly a shame because I really like him. I have been calling and my pharmacy has been faxing for almost 2 weeks and no one calls back. I left 3 voicemails that say someone will respond in 24 hours and no one calls back. Dr. Tangora had been my gastroenterologist for over ten years however when I began to have issues with my liver everything changed. One medications I was prescribed caused my liver enzymes to increase and another created a rise in my A1C. Dr. Tangora stated the rise in my A1C was rare. Well, then I was in the “rare” category! Been seeing Dr Tangorra for several years for gastro issues. Love that he takes his time. Never a long wait for office visits. I now have several family members seeing him. He's great, and the office staff is top notch.
