My dog had a medical emergency and I called Fernie vet just an hour before closing. They saw our dog right away and gave him excellent care and I felt he was in amazing hands. Thank you for taking care of our little Winston. He’s now at home and much more comfortable now. ❤️
Review for Fernie Vet Services – Dr. Hurdle I recently brought my dog Reine in for an OFA patella exam and was very disappointed by the experience with Dr. Hurdle. Before even examining Reine, she asked, “Are you breeding her?” I replied, “Maybe, I don’t know yet,” and she immediately responded, “Well, I see she had to have her deciduous teeth pulled, so you can’t breed her. Hollow Apologies- I’m absolutely shocked by my experience at this clinic today. I’m in Fernie on vacation, and my dog suddenly developed an issue with her eye that clearly needed urgent attention. I arrived at 7:55 AM (their posted opening time is 8:00 AM), but had to call at 8:05 just to be let in. The vet took one look at my dog’s eye, acknowledged it looked bad, and then told me they were understaffed and dealing with three emergencies. I do believe that may have been the case. We were turned back at the US Border because the dogs were 10 days past their Rabies vaccination deadline. The people at Fernie Veterinary Services fit us in, and gave then their shots and a thorough examination. Outstanding service.
