In the corner of Mekong Plaza is Tan Hua inc tea shop. My first visit was to attend the Saturday tea party the owner often hosts. About 13 people attended. It was informative and fun. The owner, Fanny, explained that her items are of the highest quality. For example in different areas in China, goji berries grow with different strength and quality of taste. What a cool place! It has to be one of the best places in the Mesa/Tempe area for high-quality loose leaf tea, herbal medicine, and specialty Asian imports. From traditional oolong and pu-erh to green tea and specialty blends you simply can’t find in big retail stores. This is an absolutely wonderful shop! The owner, Fanny, is an extremely kind hearted, friendly, and welcoming host. Any questions I had about tea she helped answer and I’ve been able to learn a lot just from visiting a few times. It’s so wonderful to have a community oriented store like this!!! I was also able to attend a tea party here which was so much fun!
I came with partner and we wanted to know about helpful ideas to help with our challenges with skin and digestion. Fanny, the owner, helped with ideas and we translated conversations to ensure we were both talking about the same things. We left with answers and new ideas to try. We also attended her tea ceremony and enjoyed her smiling thoughts and courteous interactions.
