Great public hospital, most staff were great . Thanks for looking after me on my long stay. YEAR 2020 I broke my foot very badly. They looked after me amazingly well, even when it was super busy. Also had many weeks of physio here . Year 2021 I had an iron infusion at Tamworth Base Hospital the other day, and the service was just like a private hospital. It was well looked after. Terrible ED far too long waiting times! You have to Stare too long at the same people! Some staff loud laughing and walking around ! Not good for patiens in pain and hoping for quick discharge. Very depressing and demoralising!
Only two nurses who were nice . The rest of them .. find somewhere else I wish my Pa had more care and respect . They make you feel as if you are hassle . Can’t even see my pa best they can offer is next week he passed away today. “It’s a weekend there’s not enough staff” where is the care for the families
Appalling that they are completing an ultra modern mental health unit with like 20 beds, when they stuff seriously physically ill patients into crumbling old wards like Medical 2, etc. Not that mental health isn't important, but the ward rooms are tiny the furnishings are broken, awful toilets, cracked floors, storage closet about 25x10cm and the door hits the bed when opened. Cant praise the nursing staff in emergency enough. Came in with my wife very sick at 2am . We were just staying in Tamworth from interstate SA aswell. Seen straight away and such compassionate and professional care each step. Rn Erin( super hard worker) ,Dr Nick (amazing), Rn laura x2 ❤️🙏 Thankyou⭐️ Tamworth hospital staff. Angels in blue.
