DR Horton is absolute garbage. DO NOT BUY A DR HORTON HOME—unless you enjoy being ripped off and left with a disaster of a house. This company is the definition of corner-cutting trash. My home came with defective windows that crack for no reason, roof issues, sprinkler systems installed outside my property line, and a landscape so poorly graded it floods like a swamp. Just bought my home in December 2024 I've had many issues. Some were fixed, and some are in process . But they way they go about repairing things are not professional. Had multiple attempts to repair the front door 5 times still not resolved. The last manager promised to replacebad sod he got fired (maybe for actually fixing things right, costing too much out of pocket for builder). So, no sod replacement now. These people are pathetic. Non stop negative reviews. They keep posting the same canned copy paste response to contact them as if though they are going to actually do something.
Oh, what a stellar experience it's been with this joke of a company. My home—one of their supposed masterpieces—has constant issues with clogged drains because the underground waste pipe was installed with the wrong pitch. But do they take responsibility for their shoddy workmanship? Of course not! That would require a shred of integrity. These people are the poster children for how not to build a home. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Whatever you do do not buy a house in Florida from this company. We owned one in Puyallup WA and it was an amazing home which is why we thought we would buy one down here. The house is falling apart after just 2 years. The seeming tape in the corners is coming off, the window sills are all pealing and the drywall is falling off all over the house, there is a huge leak in the kids bathroom and it is leaking down the walls in the kitchen.
