I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2002 in Los Angeles at Kaiser Permanente, and received palliative care. I've been seeing Dr. Mayer Fishman [since November 2024] and Dr. Sean Collins [since August 2025] at TGH Cancer Institute. My appointments are mostly kept on time. Although, one time I had to wait about 1-hour. I didn't understand what happened then!!? That was uncharacteristic for my experience. Although the waiting room can get a little busy, perhaps it is a reflection of how great this medical facility is. I have been there on 3 occasions to see Dr Mathew Anderson who is truly a Godsend and as much as I dislike waiting it’s definitely worth the wait. He is a Master physician, surgeon, and a stellar human being. I’m so thankful to God for having led me to him via Tampa General Cancer institute. The best cancer facilities available at the TGH onco hospital, we feel very homely in the the hospital, all staff is cooperative, TOMO radiation is the best radiation we received for our patients, and got best results after the treatment. Must visit for best cancer treatment.
When Dr. R. my Primary Care Provider asked to see me for a consultation I was told that he suspected that I had a form of cancer . Needless to say I was in shock! He ordered tests and gave me a referral to the physicians at Tampa General Hospital. I quickly scheduled for what turned out to be a life saving surgery.
