Tammie's...great source and pleasant experience.. I have been shopping at Tammie's for several years now. I have always been greeted by friendly sales personnel and have always been asked if I needed any help or was looking for anything in particular. When I call to ask on a particular item availability they always check to verify for me and if not in stock or available, they always offer to order for me. I wish I got treated like this more often. Shopping would be a much more pleasant experience.
very nice people I just got hooked on RC helicopters, When I went into the store, I was in Awe. They have every thing that you might have in mind, every employee I talked to; knew all the answers, and was very helpfull, I give them an AAA+++ on there customer service and knowledge. Now I'm hooked on RC Cars, and guess where I went? Yep you got it, they will have my business for life period.They went as fer as to call around to find a part that i needed on the spot for my Revo. Great Selection My husband and I stopped into Tammies Hobbies as we were interested in purchasing a radio controlled boat. This store is packed to the top with hobby stuff. I was especially surprised at the quality and selection found within the store. Just wandering down the aisles you are sure to find a new project you will want to take home and work on. Great first time experience!!! It may have been a fluke but my first experience with Tammy's was far better than the others listed here. The staff was very helpful, the prices blew their competition away, and their selection was vast.
Hit or Miss They seem to have a nice big store with lots of stock, and I got reasonable help when I went looking for supplies for 1/2 A airplane motors. But, another time when I called and asked about Micro Maxx rocket motors, the lady who answered the phone said she was sure they had those, since they did have rocket motors. Come on down. I told her I would be driving 15 miles to visit her store, so maybe she could, ah, check. Oops. No, they don't have those.

Dr. T's big bummer experience Summer 2008 I bought an RC car 2 lithium batteries and upgraded remote control a nd spent about $650. after 5 uses of the car it quit working and i still can't get answers from their staff as to why. I have been disappointed by their service and have gotten 3 different explanations from 3 sales people as to settings to recharge the 2 $125.00 each batteries. Horrible customer service Tammies has great products, and for the most part the folks at the til (front of the store) are friendly. The folks in the back are horrible. They are impatient, rude, and even insult their customers if they don't know the latest in RC technology. Tammies should do a better job hiring their minimum wage workers.
Trains My Grandson and I started playing with Lionel trains at Christmas, and since we live on the west side, ended up at Tammie's. We have both been very satisfied with their helpfulness, knowledge, and patience to listen to a five year old tell them what he wants, and even what they "should" do or have. Even the day we wandered into the remote airplane section, the person patiently showed him how to fly the remote control airplane.
