Boss Tweed kept trying to bribe me and sell me curtains

Blahhh. It's dark, it's dingy. The bouncers and bartenders were not that friendly. It was an event so they only had one kind of IPA and I hate beer anyway. The music wasn't that good either and everyone was just standing around awkwardly like a sad Sweet 16 in someone's basement. I just really was not impressed whatsoever.
I stopped in for a few drinks and sliders on the afternoon of St. Patrick's Day and I was pleasantly surprised to find Tammany Hall wasn't overflowing with patrons, and the staff was friendly and accommodating to our large group. We sat on couches, upstairs, in a loft-like area that overlooked the main floor (I felt like a VIP, haha) and the live band. I like this place for the chicken waffles, decent brunch drinks and lively atmosphere! The band plays on Sunday which is a plus in my book and the location is good if you want to check out the LES. I would go back for sure.
