We were visiting the Tamborine Mountain Heritage Centre today and parked in the designated carpark when we were approached by a man who lives directly across the road. He demanded that we "turn off the car because he didn't like the "fuel emissions or noise". We had been sitting in the car for not that long and were nowhere near his property. The sense of entitlement and arrogance will surely drive tourists away from this great little historical museum. Hopefully not all locals are as entitled with delusional self-importance... read more

As other reviews has mentioned, the heritage centre is only open on sundays (and public holidays maybe) but it is run entirely by volunteers. There was lots of things to see & learn and we spent nearly two hours here and for only $5 each! The volunteers are lovely and know a lot about Tamborine and the community as well. A wealth of knowledge. Highly recommend if you’re already up visiting gallery walk and want a slower paced vibe.

THis place is just off the main street in tambourine village. Really worth going to very educational and I liked it

Staff were helpful and friendly and the exhibits are well laid out, interesting and well worth a visit
