I waited four months for an appointment. I should have been told beforehand she doesn’t take patients with osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia or inflammation. She showed no empathy during the appointment. Did not shake my hand. Spent a good deal of time explaining what the parameters of her practice were. Nurse called me with X-ray results. I told her I had a couple of follow up questions for Dr Nelson. I was informed she doesn’t talk to patients on the phone. So wasted time, hopefulness & money.
I have been with Dr. Nelson for several years now. She is a great listener and evaluates your individual situation with a wide lens. She worked with me on medications to stabilize my health, when it needed it, but worked with me over time to make sure I am not taking medication that is not necessary until further down the road, which I appreciate. I would recommend this physician to others for sure!
I find Dr. Nelson to be helpful and encouraging as I navigate Rhuematoid. I would highly recommend.
