I have been a long term patient of Dr Tam and he is great. Great at communicating and easy to talk to. However the front desk is rude, they act like they are bored to meet us or that they are better than us. Sometimes the wait time is very long.
Dr. Tam has a great bedside manner and is helpful when seeing him "in person" but his level of patient care ends there. The biggest issue I have seen over the last 5+ years being a patient of Dr Tam is his complete REFUSAL to ever respond to patient emails or phone calls. In this day in age responding to emails should be second nature. There's no excuse for him to not respond to someone's medical needs or questions. Dr. Tam is okay when I can actually hear from him. The practice logistically is a mess. Their front desk staff is insufferably rude and condescending, and they never relay patients’ asks to Dr. Tam. I keep calling back multiple times hours and days later only to be told that they have not been able to tell the doctor yet. Does not answer emails. I had my lab work completed and needed a refill on my Rx. I emailed him. It’s been 3 weeks and no response. I wonder if he still works there!
Excellent doctor, Dr Tam listens and is very polite and I didn't feel rushed to discuss my medical problem. Highly recommended.
