It was a good, solid bridge. It spans all the way across the water! Just don't go for a visit in April or May 2026. The road construction on the SC side goes for 5 miles, making turning back an impossibility.
Beautiful bridge! I wasn’t expecting such a steep ascent…I can understand why some folks might be uncomfortable. It was really interesting with high wind. I expect high profile vehicles require constant attention at the wheel. It felt like the wind was pushing pretty hard. I will definitely make a point to cross this bridge anytime I visit Savannah.
