Absolute magic. Our fave accommodation on our 3 week family road trip. Remote rainforest and yet only 20 mins to Apollo Bay. The most comfortable beds, record player, roaring fire and well equipped kitchen. Thrilled to have our first clothes drier of the trip! Wildlife sensational- king parrots, Scarlett rosellas and possums feeding on the deck. Millions of gloworms visible in the starlight- kids loved it. This place is such a peaceful escape. It is right in the middle of nature, incredibly quiet, and the views are amazing. Waking up to birdsong and having breakfast outside while watching them was honestly one of the best parts of the stay. The hosts were really kind and thoughtful, and always quick to help with anything we needed. The cottage is gorgeous too, beautifully decorated, and clearly looked after with a lot of care. We loved it and would happily come back!!
We had such an amazing family stay at Tall Trees Retreat in Apollo Bay. Thanks so much to Dave and Victoria, the new owners, for making it such a wonderful place. The kids loved having space to run around, seeing all the glow worms, and being surrounded by the huge trees. I really enjoyed my 6am, 6km hikes up the hill each morning—it was the best way to start the day!
