Went in for a pretty basic hair cut. I push my hair over to the side with a normal part. She cut my hair so short on the one side that it just sticks up and doesn’t fall down like normal. Unbelievably basic mistake for someone who charges $80 for a cut

Visit to Chicago on business, by happenstance saw Talc & Tonic in the hotel lobby. I needed a beard trim and decided to book an appointment. Best decision I made for my self care! Anthony really took care of my request and provided great service and tips for my beard maintenance. Great young black man with skills! Highly recommend.

I’m feeling a bit disappointed with my experience with Alyssa, even though I did like the haircut. Since I don’t visit salons often, I assumed that basics like a hair wash and blow-dry were included in the haircut price, especially given that the only service I was specifically asked about and opted into was the scalp massage. The haircut was listed at $50, but I ended up paying $120. I would have been fine with the extra cost if I’d been kept informed throughout, especially since I’ve paid more for haircuts before
