If there were more stars to give I would. We highly recommend doing this excursion/ trip. We had a great time and the staff was great from beginning to the end. Splurge a little and do a trip like this that cannot be duplicated anywhere else. We booked directly with them and not through the cruise line and it was worth every penny. Our pilot Dave was great. The whole experience was top notch.
Our seaplane ride in Juneau was an extremely disappointing experience. We paid $1,000 for two people, expecting a breathtaking view of five glaciers, but we could hardly see even one. The weather was terrible, the windows constantly fogged up, and no matter how much we wiped them, visibility was poor. It was frustrating and heartbreaking, especially after saving up hard-earned money for this trip. We thought it could not get any better when we cruised Tracy Arm Fjord the day before and then we arrived in the beautiful capital of Juneau where we had booked the Taku Lodge Feast & 5-Glacier Seaplane Discovery excursion and what a truly wonderful experience we had. From the moment we arrived at the reception area of Wings Airways we were welcomed and guided by a super friendly and helpful team.
