My elderly mother and I went on a Cruise to Alaska. Stopping in Juneau with no plans, a man in a booth suggested we do the float plane ride. My mom who is 76 has very limited walking mobility so I was quite skeptical that she would be able to get into the float plane. The whole team got her into that float plane!! It was amazing! My mom was so happy and the whole experience was the best. Thank you for making her dream possible.
We bought an adventure with Wings Airways to see the glaciers around Juneau. This was an absolute highlight of our trip, and we would recommend it wholeheartedly. Off the charts!!!
They were our floatplane company for our 5-Glacier Seaplane Exploration excursion via Celebrity Cruises. They are located right off the pier by the cruise ships so no transfer was needed which was great. The 1.25 hour tour was awesome. The glaciers are so massive and and beautiful. You wouldn't be able to experience them from a boat, that's for sure! The headsets provided for pre-recorded and live info.
The glacier flightseeing is amazing, but it pales in comparison to the people of Wings Airways. We tried to book this tour through our cruise line and they said it was not an accessible tour. I Googled and figured out the tour operator and called them directly. I spoke to Mikayla (sp?) and she said of course they could accommodate someone with mobility issues and in a wheelchair. 9/2025 5* This was so totally cool I would gladly just go again time after time. I totally suggest this excursion to everyone that can do it. A bit expensive, but it was so absolutely amazing. Everyone would enjoy it for sure!
