Takes the Cake created my wedding cake. What a wonderful presentation! From the initial cake tasting to the actual day, they did a beautiful job. I really appreciated their attention to detail. Most of the other places I interviewed gave me slices of cake, but Takes the Cake went the extra mile and made full mini cakes of each flavor we were interested in. Almost from that point I was sold. Then I tasted and that sealed the deal. Beautiful and delicious! I can't say enough!
There is no other cake decorator this good in the area!!! I've had several special occasion cakes done here. Just go in and look at their notebook of cake designs they've done. There's everything from Star Wars, to Dragons, to sports scenes, to traditional flowers-n-fluff, and that's just the kid's designs...I wish I knew about this place for our wedding. Good creative cakes – Takes The Cake recently did my husband's groom's cake and it turned out great. Very whimsical. It had an outdoor theme and were able to incorporate the funny cake topper I got at Michael's without a problem. The cake was white with a raspberry filling and was quite tasty. Fresh. I still go to them when I need a specialty cake for a birthday or other special occasion. They can be on the pricey side, but I don't mind that for a special event.
WEDDING CAKE DISASTER! – I decided to get my wedding cake at Takes the Cake because the staff was very helpful and they had a large book of sample cakes I thought exhibited their artistry. I brought a picture of the cake that I wanted and was assured that they would make it look just like the picture. $500+ later, on the day of my wedding, everything was lovely, except the cake.
