Great even for novices – My friend and I went to Takara and for the first time had to order on our own. We had previously been with our daughters who made choices for us. With the help of a pleasant and knowledgeable waitstaff, we enjoyed our first sushi meal on our own and had fun doing it. The fish is fresh and tasty, and everything looks very appetizing. Other patrons will also tell you what they are eating if you ask. I wish there were friendly neighborhood restaurants like this in Randolph. We have since been back to Ta... read more
Fantastic sushi – I keep meaning to try some of the Korean specialties available, but the sushi is so amazing I have to have that instead. Very creative specials such as the Ashley maki (rolled in rice paper instead of seaweed) are addictive. The fish quality is extremely high. Fast and pleasant service almost makes up for the lack of a liquor license. But a friendly nearby package store about 4 doors down as well as a pub where you can get your drink before or after dinner help out. A local favorite for good reason!
Awesome sushi, great service, and BYOB – Consistently great sushi for a great price. Waitstaff is extremely amiable and always provides great service. Bringing your own beer or wine almost seems encouraged and there is no fee. Rainbow roll highly recommended.
Japanese restaurant caters to loyal suburban crowds thanks to its fresh sushi and affordable lunch specials. – In Short Located in quiet Canton, Takara lures suburban couples to its 50-seat dining room and welcoming sushi bar with a varied menu of Japanese cuisine. The kitchen has fun with starters like the "tuna heaven," a pair of potato cakes topped with flavorful raw tuna. Also available are hibachi dishes and Korean items like bi bim bab. With no liquor license, Takara is B.Y.O.B.
Takara has a 4.3 star rating with 308 reviews.
Takara is closed now. It will open at 9:00 a.m.
