Mediocre self service food at fine dining prices. Next time I want a burger for lunch with lake view I will go to Garwoods instead. Pricing is the same but at Garwoods you get table service, patio is on the lake and food is served on a plate and the atmosphere is fantastic. This is a difficult review to write because Taphaus can be excellent. I’ve had some fantastic meals here over the years, which is exactly why I keep giving it another chance. Unfortunately, it’s also one of the most inconsistent restaurants I’ve been to. The last time I ordered the steak frites, I asked for medium rare and received a steak that was much closer to rare. Extremely small and misleading portion size for cheese noodles.
Awesome place to go if you want a great bite to eat right in the middle of town! Good food, good beers, good people! Right across from the lake and next to the movie theater! Go in with the family for good Dad joke from Kevin!
The food is a little pricey, but very good! I got the pastrami sandwich. The music doesn’t match the vibe of a tap house at all. Also the service method is fast food design. You order and pay and take a number. Overall would get takeout for the food, but not enjoy in house again.
