We were contacted about 24 hours before our scheduled clear kayak tour on a Friday morning in late September. We were flying, so it went to voicemail. We were told they didn’t have enough people booked to make it worth them going out. In the same note they asked if we could move to another day and time later in the weekend. My wife and I were driving from Incline to South Lake today, 08/30/2025 at around 3:30pm. We ended up behind a car that had an elderly man driving slowly, clearly a little lost. A van with Tahoe Jacks's Adventure Authority emblem painted on the door was behind and started honking their horn non stop. Not a few honks, but for 15 minutes. The transparent kayak experience itself was beautiful and unique. However, our tour guide fell short of expectations. As we left the beach, we noticed another transparent kayak tour nearby whose guide kept their group engaged, sharing interesting facts about the lake, the mountains, and the local nature. In contrast, our guide, Scott, simply directed us toward the buoy and told us we had 20 minutes to explore on our own. Scott was our instructor and he had amazing attitude the entire time and made it such an enjoyable experience!
Really fun and cool experience. Very knowledgeable and helpful guides who take you to great spots and make sure you and your group have the best time. Scottie was our guide and he was great. He even lined us all up for a picture in the kayaks. Solid recommendation for some Tahoe fun.
