Unprofessional and Feels Like a Scam I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Tahoe Family Adventure was so bad it deserves a warning to others. Communication was a nightmare from the beginning—messages went unanswered, details kept changing last minute, and any questions we asked were either ignored or met with vague, dismissive replies. Could put 0 stars if I could. Trust the reviews, horrible communication. Day of, no communication on where to meet because they are not a legit business and do not have an actual location. Then she said she couldn't find us in her system so they couldn't take us out because they were already booked even though we booked months ago. We asked for a refund and never received.
Absolutely the worst experience. They canceled the first day because one boat wasn’t seaworthy. Second day the boat in water but wouldn’t start. The worst communication. Told us if we kept texting it would only take longer. 2 hours later they called saying “we are ready.” We had already taken the older members of our party home. Terrible customer service. CANNOT ADVISE AGAINST USING THIS COMPANY STRONGLY ENOUGH. The boat was given to us with only half a tank of gas. We would not have known that if the employee had not told us as the gas gauge was broken. In addition, the ladder was broken making it difficult and unsafe to get back into the boat. Further, there were several exposed wires on the boat. Finally, after just driving 10-15 mins offshore, we parked the boat and enjoyed the lake for a few hours. Our reservation was for 07/12/2025. We had an incredibly disappointing and stressful experience with Tahoe Family Adventures. We booked a boat for a 12-person bachelorette trip, confirmed everything with Jill on 2/22/25, and paid after speaking with her on the phone. We spoke again on 3/18/25 to confirm the meeting place and once more on 6/14/25 requesting she add a captain to our reservation.
