There is an amazing 6.5 mile hike that takes off from this parking area. It ascends through the forest, then to the beach and back through the dunes. It’s a well maintained trail. There is some erosion. Getting up from the beach to the trail but someone put a small rope to help you get up. Only complaint. It’s a Siauslaw National Forest parking pass required area. A very nice day-use area and a relaxing place. Clean and very peaceful when my mom and I went. The lake is beautiful and the dunes trail is great!
