1st time here. Good was good but Cashiers need to do better about hand washing between cashiering and cooking and constantly touching their phone. The do use gloves but whats the point grabbing them with dirty hands. Filthy, I won't be back
Food is good here. My big issue is they go from register handling money straight to putting on gloves and making food. If you grab the outside of the glove with dirty hands the glove is more dirty. Simple food handling 101 WASH YOUR HANDS in between register and putting on gloves.
I've dined here many times and It's always so fresh with the meat hot off tge grill that I forget to take a Picture. I usually get the Barbacoa or carnitas street tacos. They always have generous portions. Linda is always at the front and happy to make sure you get amazing food. I’ve never had a bad dish from here. It's in a weird strip mall but should be on your list of places to try.
Tacos El Rey 2 has FAR AND AWAY the BEST street tacos I've ever had in Colorado. The smothered chicken burrito and chicken flautas are also a favorite. I do not ever write Google reviews, but the lovely folks at this restaurant deserve it. Not only is the food fantastic but the restaurant has a family-owned vibe that makes me want to order everything on the menu to support them. Please try Tacos el rey 2!!
It could use a good cleaning, absolutely and for sure! Like yesterday! The booth that we sat in had food slattered on the wall and on the booth. One of the toilets in the womens bathroom, was absolutely disgusting! There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this restaurant's owners and employees are not following Boulder County Health Department guidelines in regards to sanitation and cleanliness.
