This place has the best value to quality ratio of any place I've been. Authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, great price point. It is always clean and I'm consistently impressed with whatever dish I choose. The salsa bar is the best.
BEST FISH TACO IN DENVER. I moved here 8 years ago from the south, and it’s been so hard to find authentic food that’s delicious and prepared with consistency every time. I am a picky eater and yet I eat The Pescado Taco exactly how it comes. The toppings are *chef’s kiss* perfect. Everything is always fresh. Wife and I both ordered Asada tacos. They were completely full great tasting, and they had a full salsa bar with fresh Full jalapeños Definitely recommend if you want authentic Mexican food
My wife and I have been going to Tacos el Metate for years. Tonight, we ordered nearly $40 of food. We couldn't finish what we ordered so we asked for to-go containers and a plastic bag. The reply from one of the staff was: "sorry we have to charge you 10 cents for a plastic bag." The way loyal customers (who've bought hundreds of $'s of food over the years) were treated tonight was shameful. I will not be returning and hope that this message to the restaurant's Owners is heard very loudly and very clearly.
