Taco John’s is a revelation. Specifically, this one is a proverbial jewel in the desert of rural MN. My girlfriend and I stopped here on our way up to Pequot Lakes and holy moly hot dog that was a good choice. The building itself is strange; it seems like you could put it on a flatbed truck and bring it just about anywhere with a couple hours notice. Literally nothing in the order was correct, cooked all the way, or fresh. Wrong drink with no ice. Donut bites were raw. Wrong burrito. Cheese was not melted on quesadilla and didn’t look grilled at all. The lid on the rice was melted into the rice. The burrito that was correct was barely grilled and looked like it was kicked across the kitchen. Potato olés were old and hard. Missing a side of sour cream. They were not busy. We ordered ahead.
This store sucks... I have nothing else to say. I'm going to Taco Bell instead from now on.
We got a six pack and a pound plus two tacos. The meat was cold and took a while to get our food.
