Located in the TA travel center - it's also a PopTacoHut as I like it call it lol since there is Popeyes, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut. TB itself was really good and the only thing it could use is a ordering machine so employees don't have to go back and forth from taking orders.
It is Taco Bell, it's not really Mexican, we all know. Service is great and fast, food was good for a Taco Bell.
If I could give less than one star I would. I usually stop here on my way in to Chicago and I don’t expect much from the staff, but this time has done it for me. Got food poisoning from a black bean crunch wrap supreme! Curious if the lackadaisical attitude lead to a slip in safety standards.
Here is a photo of the "tacos, extra lettuce, add onion" which they sold me for $4 each. 🥴
I haven’t even gotten to the food yet, but I want to address the extremely unprofessional behavior I experienced from the employee with glasses, Skye , the name I was able to get on the receipt December 1, 2025, at 8:20 PM. I genuinely hope he is not a manager. There was no greeting , just a blunt “What can I get for you?” When I responded with “How are you?” he said nothing.
