Taco Bell is just expensive. The food has always been blah but it was acceptable when it was cheap. Now 20.00 for a meal and some bean burritos no way!
My wife and I ordered 3 large fries and a Doritos Locos Taco Supreme combo. The fries were cold and a true let down, and the taco supreme were not supreme at all. No sour cream or tomatoes. I reviewed my receipt to make sure I hit the right button since everything is self-service through a kiosk now. I tried calling them 5 times to discuss it with them, but they either did not answer, causing the phone to disconnect, or they hung up on me as soon as they answered. The staff and food were excellent. We were having a pretty bad, culminating in my wife straining her ankle and going to the er. I had been sitting in the car with our three cranky children for several hours and we wanted to just pick up a meal on our way home. The staff member working the drive through was extremely friendly and fantastic. We got our food and I can't explain my, or my wife's, surprise when we tried our five layer burritos and they were easily the best we had ever had, warm and fresh.
