Tabitha Meals on Wheels began in 1967 as the first service of its kind in Lincoln, Nebraska. Today we serve a hot, noon meal to more than 500 clients daily, 365 days per year. Tabitha’s service provides an invaluable face-to-face safety check, as well, for many medically vulnerable individuals who may not see another person all day.

We've really enjoyed volunteering here for years as a family, and since they've canceled the weekends we try and still fit it in when we can during the week. I have great memories of doing MOW with my grandparents as a kid, and I think my kid is also building those memories that will remind him to help out. Too bad they're not doing weekends anymore. - Bonus: really nice employees that make the experience all the better
I have been trying to get meals for mother in law for 3 weeks and no one calls me.
A friend of mine takes Meals on Wheels for several years now. She tells me that they have had the same menu for the last year. Whereas they used to change the menu of summer and spring fall and winter. They no longer bake any cakes they give you pre-packaged desserts quality of the meals have gone down considerably in the last year or so.
