Being Italian and born in Italy, I was very excited about a new Italian Resteraunt opening. There's not a great one within 125 miles of Meridian. Olive Garden is not even good, let alone Great. Well, don't bother with Tabella. The staff doesn't even know what the name means. When asked, the response was table. Tavola is table in Italian. Tabella is a sign or list, like a Resteraunt chalkboard. The food is okay, but buy a frozen package of Butoni, it's just as good. Enjoy.
The recipe for the shrimp cannelloni was not bad, but the shrimp were really fishy, definitely not fresh. The veal parmesan was not good, neither was the lasagna and the deserts were awful. Would not go back. Feel sorry for anyone that ordered the shrimp last night!
Amazing atmosphere, true Italian experience with an americano twist. Fine dining in Hattiesburg, MS that doesn't miss.
