Absolutely disgusting and a total scam – do NOT book this place. We drove all the way from Melbourne, exhausted after hours on the road, only to arrive at a nightmare. The property was filthy beyond belief — the floors hadn’t been cleaned in what looked like weeks, the bathroom was grimy and smelled terrible, and the beds looked like they hadn’t been changed or touched since the last guest left. I arrived at Goulburn, thinking there are alot of motels here on my way to snowy mountains. Well it was fully booked! I decided to try the pubs. The Exchange Hotel was the only place with rooms available. I booked over the phone for $120 a night. Luckily they didn't ask for my card details which was strange, because on arrival I had trouble finding the key box as it was completely unlit and derelict at 8pm. Stayed here last year when it had new management and doing some renovations the place which gave the place a great vibe along with management really friendly welcoming lady,went out of her way if we needed anything as it was Avery busy weekend in Goulburn every where was booked and the staff went above and beyond the finish off a room that where painting etc to accomodate my partner and myself and the room was really beautiful modern and clean highly recomended back then,i rebooked for a night just recently and what a disapp... read more

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Blood on the sheets, the bugs all over the floor & needles of some description shoved under the bed. After requesting a refund I was asked why? After going back and forth with a very rude women at reception explaining that hotels are meant to be "cleaned" in-between guests, she confirmed "if the room doesn't look dirty, house keeping will just re make the bed and leave" this is why my sheets had someone else's blood on them?
