We love our house that T.E. James built for us. Robert and Brian was great working with us and Jamie and Monica were very professional. They built our house on 10 acres a custom home that we wanted, they help redesign our original design in their office and made it work better for us, we were happy with the design and every step of the way when they were building. We would recommend them highly.
T E James was a wonderful building experience for my wife and me. The quality is superb and the details make you glad you selected them to build with. On budget and within our timeline. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
BUYER BEWARE!! I could write a book but here are the big highlights. First is took over a year to build; Bait & Switch tactics were used on contracted items (roof); 40% overages on dirt & framing allowances, certainly not something you would expect from a seasoned builder using their spec home plans and in a community that they have built in previously, so they know the lots/land, there were NO unknowns. Altogether, a reasonable experience, considering we started the project of renovating 1500 square feet, including 3 bedrooms and gutting the kitchen to the studs in March 2021; post-pandemic disrupted supply chains and labor forces. Tommy made sure we were satisfied with all the work before issuing the final invoice, almost a year later. His team was prompt, tidy and very good at their skill sets. Kelly, the PM was onsite almost every day.
Signing with TE James was a mistake that I regret. To say they are disorganized, make too many mistakes, don’t take responsibility and are unprofessional would be a compliment. In my opinion, Pathetic would be a more accurate representation. Beware of Allowances, a tactic I think is used to come in at a low price to get unsuspecting mostly out of town customers to sign the contract.
