I used to shop here regularly during Christmas and Mardi Gras. I love supporting small family businesses. But no more. My mom went there yesterday to pick up a few items for cookie making and neither of the two owners were wearing masks. There is a mask sign clearly posted on the front door. There is a statewide mandate. Yet the owners weren’t wearing them or even had them near. I can no longer support a business that does not care about public health.

I visited Szabo’s today and there was only one customer checking out. I went there to order party supplies and cups for a baby shower but was totally ignored and never asked if I needed assistance. I am a black female and I noticed that when a white customer entered all attention and focus was on that person. These people need to realize that this is 2019 and yes, racism still exist but my money spends anywhere and I will pay more somewhere else if I have to in order to be treated with respect.
