While he was very nice, I was given misinformation. He said I could be awake or under Twilight meds for surgery and I needed to be under general anesthesia. Quite upsetting.
I went to see him to get an MRI because I was having dizzy spells. When I came for my follow up visit, all Dr. Szabo would talk about was how I have sued doctors all my life and how I wasn't going to sue him. I have never sued anybody save when I was part of a class action in something unrelated. At the time, I thought Dr. Szabo was mentally unbalanced. To this day, I dont know where he got the idea that I sue doctors, or anyone else .
The most arrogant, dismissive unprofessional doctor I've ever been in a room with. Was a nice, seemingly concerned doctor during our first visit, albeit very egotistical, but at our second appointment, I was shocked at how rude and demeaning he was. It's one thing for a doctor to rush you - which he did - but to do so in such a hostile way is a whole other level.
I see Dr Szabo for my migraines/anxiety and panic attacks. Honestly the best person; kind, compassionate, intelligent. He explained everything to me and ALWAYS answers my questions. Staff is warm and compassionate and professional.
My father is a patient of this practice, diagnosed w. Parkinson's. He was hospitalized after a fall and a neuro. at NWH diagnosed him w. a more aggressive form and gave him weeks to live. The NWH Dr assured me he consulted w Dr Szabo and my father's usual neuro. in the practice. When I called their office to confirm, she was on a 2 wk vacation w no one covering to speak with me. Szabo flat out refused to speak to me, claiming my dad is not his patient. No compassion, care or responsibility.
Dr Szabo has been very helpful in treating my migraines, as well as my son's epilepsy and migraines.
