TERRIBLE experience. I bought a Groupon and attempted to cancel my membership when it expired. Even though I cancelled my membership I have been charged for a monthly membership on my credit card. The manager, Alfredo, was yelling and hung up the phone on me several times when I tried to get the charges removed. Avoid this gym.
A++++++ Health Club Facility - Clean & Affordable!! – Hi Im not a big reviewer by any means nor a blogger by any type yet I have been a member of Synergy Fitness for a long time. I felt the need to write a quick and brief review for the facility. Extremely affordable facility, clean and very friendly staff. The renovation is absolutely phenomenal and I am happy to have Synergy Fitness in the neighborhood. Anytime there is an issue with anything, they will always fix it right-away. With my passport membership I exercised in a... read more
Solid Gym – I wanted to contribute a review since I am a current member who signed up in mid-2010 when the new owners/management assumed control and revitalize the gym. My overall experience has been positive as the staff is friendly and the equipment/environment meets my needs in a gym. This gym's strongest points are the flexible plans and affordable membership price.
yeah... not that great – not a fan. for many reasons, the main one being the owners are just as dodgy as the last guys who closed down. it's nicer than it was but it's still kinda shitty.
Evil, evil, evil – I worked a block away, and it was cheap, so I thought there'd be no harm in it. However, the facilities were so lame and the staff were so rude and the music was so loud that I switched to another gym after a few months. Then, about THREE YEARS LATER, they charged my credit card again. Huh?! So I called, and called, and called, and called, and every time, I got the runaround, and finally, MONTHS later, the so-called customer service guy who'd been stringing me along said, "Okay, the boss has decided to do ... read more
STAY AWAY!!! – This gym is by far the worst club I've ever been in. I admit the low price sucked me in and I figured "why not?". Soon after joining I realized why it is so inexpensive. The equipment is extremely old, let's start with the "cardio section". Out of the 10 treadmills they have there are literally 2 that work as they should Many of them have treads that are not properly attach so they constantly slip which really increases the chance of a bad fall, a torn MCL, PCL, ACL, you name it! There will ALWAYS be 3-4 that ... read more
Stinks here – There's constant mentioning of membership prices rising because new equipment is coming in but I have yet to see this happen, been here for some time now. The padding on the workout benches are worn and ripping. If you like to use a squat rak, be ready to wait on line because they only have one and no power cages. The dumbbells are are always loose and scattered with no care.Although most work fine, most of the cardio equipment are outdated. A few of the treadmills, were the belts skip or the platform is shaky,... read more
You Get What You Pay For – I have been at this gym for just short of 1 year and I will not be renewing for the next, even though my home is located in the building right next to this gym. Bad Business Practices When I first joined up, I thought Joe (the "seemingly" trustworthy, short, white haired Italian American owner) gave me a good deal at $400 for the year, especially since crudely printed membership sales fliers were pasted all over with a $499 promotional price. Imagine how I felt when I discovered that most members t... read more
Little Italy fitness center from this small chain of moderately sized and reasonably priced gyms that reveal neighborliness with understated style. – The Scene Cornflower blue padding on the equipment and matching compressed rubber floor tiles infuse these industrial environs with a soothing dash of color. As steel gray walls and exercise machines reflect in adjoining and opposingmirrors, patrons are spared the anemic black-and-white palette typical to many health clubs. That cool shift in tone is reflected in the staff as w... read more
