Synchrony runs the Lowes Credit cards. I always pay my bills using my bank online bill pay. I am NEVER late on payments that way. Due to an illness I must have not hit the final bill pay button for my AUG lowes payment. I am always on time but noticed I was 3 days late. Called Synchrony...was offshored...rep says 3 days late no problem..no marks no late fees...but if I paid thru him..15 dollar charge so he sends me over to automated pay system where they had an acct ending in ---- which sounded familiar. Horrible service. Better not hope you have an issue with a statement. Good luck trying to get anything accomplished. I cancelled my account after about 10 years, I also cancelled E-bay as well. Both are way to big to care about anyone. You are just a number at best. Wish I could rate them ZERO stars! Good riddance...
Credit card false-alarms as "fraud" detection in ways HYPERSENSITIVE compared to other banks (as I have >20 credit cards, I'm a bit of an expert on this ;-) I spent normally, and it still false-alerted, suspending my use of card THEN IT GOT WORSE), then they make you JUMP THROUGH HOOPS unheard of at other banks, to get your card re-activated. My card had a promise of "get $200 back for spending $1,500 in the first 90 days" and they needed to MAIL me a code so the card was unusable for >50% of those 90 days. UNHEARD OF bad po... read more
Like several others, I fell for the ebay promotional scam. I too got the lowest credit limit I've had for a card since 1980--$800, which my ebay purchasing volume used up quickly. They keep the limit low so you can't reach promotional levels. IT IS A SCAM! Don't fall for it! The customer service is not empowered to do anything but apologize. They don't meet their "investigation" time promises. I got a letter with some cryptic reason why a credit limit raise was denied.
The Ebay master card is a scam, I got it for my business and we spend over $300k on ebay annually. First they give you the card with a promo for 6 months 5x points, looked like a great deal then we got approved for only $800.00 found this odd because I have great credit in the 760s range. Once I started using this card I spent the limit in 2 days so I made my first payment for full payoff balance it took them 2 weeks to post my payment and I couldn't not use this card.
